Top Ten Favorite Books by Cassandra Fear, Author of Above the Flames + Giveaway

Welcome to Cassandra Fear, author of Above the Flames, a new YA paranormal novel from Limitless Publishing!

Top 10 Favorite Books
by Cassandra Fear

I’m going to count down from ten to one of my favorite books. These are books that I’ve read over and over again. With each choice, I will also give you my reasoning for that particular book being In my top ten. Hope you enjoyJ

10. The Sookie Stackhouse Novels by Charlaine Harris
I can’t name just one of these, so I’m going to name the whole series. These books were the first vampire books I read, and they really got me into reading again. My sister in law told me about them, and from the first book I couldn’t put one of them down. Until the last, of course. I didn’t read that one because I hate when my favorite series ends, so for me it’s still alive. I have read this series more than once. Even more than twice. I love Eric and Sookie and Bill and their stories come alive for me every single time I read them.

9. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
This book…what can I say but wow! I mean, to delve into all of the history behind the time period, to incorporate time travel into that in a way that it actually works. Diana Gabaldon is my hero in so many ways. I haven’t read this whole series, yet, only the first three books. I’m a little short on time lately, but I figure I will eventually get to each and every one of her books. They are incredibly long, but even so, I read them quickly and have no problems getting to the end or wanting to start the next. I recommend these books.

8. The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead
This was the first YA series that I really got into, but man did I love it. It was fantastic. Each book was a page turner, and I loved the romantic tension between the characters. Great read, and I’ve read these books so many times I could probably quote them without looking at the words.

7. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
It’s a classic, and I love period books that make me swoon, which this one did. Definitely worth a reread or two.

6.Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Bronte
Another classic, and yet another book I’ve read more than once. Although it’s a little sad. It’s one of those books I read when I’m in a dark mood.

5. Immortals After Dark Series by Kresley Cole
What can I say? These are among some of my favorite books. I love this series with strong female leads and gorgeous men they fall in love with.

4. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
I absolutely devoured these books. These are books I have only read once, though, but only because of lack of time. I really enjoyed them. I love a series you can read within a few days because you have to know what happened, and these are exactly like that.

3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I have to put this one toward the top of the list because it is the very first book I read in English class that I liked. Now, I read it every single time I’m feeling down. It’s my go-to pick me up kind of book. And I love it more and more every time I read it.

2. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Loved these books! Can’t wait to read through them again. They were fantastic and exciting and I couldn’t put them down.

1.  The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning
These are my all-time favorite books. I love Mac, the heroine, and I love Barrons and the tension between them makes this a sizzling read. I would only recommend these books for the mature audience, though. They can get a bit crazy at times, but that’s probably one of the reasons I’ve read them so many times.

Jasmine’s sixteenth birthday was the worst ever…

All in one day, her dad died, she met a demon, and her mother rejected her existence forever. After all, the demon who killed her dad was there to take her, and all because of her stupid powers—the ability to conjure blue flames.

Two years later, she’s happy. But happy never lasts…

After moving to Idaho to live with her grandparents, Jasmine has a new life. Almost nobody knows about her powers, and she’s just a normal teenager with normal problems. Then comes her eighteenth birthday—and the earthquake that changes her world forever.

An army of demons rise from Hell. And Jasmine is right in the middle of the battle…

When demons claw their way to Earth, Jasmine is surrounded by hundreds of fire-eyed beasts. Worse, she is captured by a big-shot demon named Bael. He’s a tricky foe with a chip on his shoulder—and the desire to make Jasmine use her powers for evil.

Amon is a fallen angel with an attitude—and everything to lose.

Successfully escaping the underworld undetected, Amon is on a quest to regain God’s grace when he rescues Jasmine from the clutches of a particularly nasty demon he knows all too well. The attraction between him and the not-entirely-human captive is instantaneous. Heavenly sparks fly, but ideas of romance will have to wait. First they have to stop the demon race from wiping out the mortal realm. Humanity’s fate rests in their hands.

Can two troubled angels rise above the flames to ensure a future for mankind? Or will Jasmine and Amon’s souls be bound together—in hell?
