Romance is in the Air Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Romance is in the Air Blog Hop, hosted by I Am A Reader Not A Writer.

This time of year there's a lot of pressure put on relationships in the form of Valentine's Day. Sometimes I think we are all so stressed out to have everything perfect, we forget to enjoy the romance and savor the moment. Personally, I find romance on cue both frustrating and baffling. This year I've resolved to focus more on the romance and less on the competition.

What's your vision of a perfect Valentine's Day? Mine is a trip to Sea World or the zoo, holding hands, hot chocolate, and maybe a plush animal souvenir. Low cost alternative? A trip to the park with the dogs and a picnic lunch. And please, no roses-- save your money. I prefer wildflowers.

    1. Family is definitely the running theme. It's nice that Valentine's Day is on a Saturday this year.

  7. For me, it's going out with a big group of friends and goofing off. I love all the laughter. It's a group for people who have social anxiety, the people who tend to spend the day alone. It gives good memories to people that may be sad about not being able to handle or just don't want to deal with the whole dating thing. Love those people :)

  8. Thanks for the giveaway! I love to celebrate Valentine's Day, even if we just stay at home and watch movies. But I can cook something special and cute, or we can go out to a fancy restaurant :P

  9. I think it would be fun to make dinner and dessert together, since I enjoy cooking, and then he'd read a book aloud to me.

  12. Since I don't have a significant other, it would be sitting and reading a good book and having a peaceful night doing just what I want. Maybe a nice hot bubble bath!

  15. Giving the kiddos a few fun VDay gifts is really the highlight for me. My husband and I will be bowling that night since we are on a league and it falls on that night. Other than that, I just like to hang out at the house. I would rather not deal with crowded restaurants and such.
