Welcome to my stop on the Romance is in the Air Blog Hop, hosted by I Am A Reader Not A Writer.
This time of year there's a lot of pressure put on relationships in the form of Valentine's Day. Sometimes I think we are all so stressed out to have everything perfect, we forget to enjoy the romance and savor the moment. Personally, I find romance on cue both frustrating and baffling. This year I've resolved to focus more on the romance and less on the competition.
What's your vision of a perfect Valentine's Day? Mine is a trip to Sea World or the zoo, holding hands, hot chocolate, and maybe a plush animal souvenir. Low cost alternative? A trip to the park with the dogs and a picnic lunch. And please, no roses-- save your money. I prefer wildflowers.

My perfect Valentines Day is to have all my family around me and spend time together
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful!
DeleteHome with my husband and dog, eating good food!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I want chocolate covered strawberries and a white chocolate martini :)
DeleteSpending the day on the beach in Hawaii with my husband
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Hawaii!
DeleteSpending time with my hero and my 5 children :)
ReplyDeleteLori
Wow! 5 kids must keep you quite busy :)
DeleteNot having to cook makes it perfect.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! Maybe hubby will make pancakes...
DeleteDefinitely spending time with my family!
ReplyDeleteFamily is definitely the running theme. It's nice that Valentine's Day is on a Saturday this year.
DeleteFor me, it's going out with a big group of friends and goofing off. I love all the laughter. It's a group for people who have social anxiety, the people who tend to spend the day alone. It gives good memories to people that may be sad about not being able to handle or just don't want to deal with the whole dating thing. Love those people :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful. I could use a group like that!
DeleteThanks for the giveaway! I love to celebrate Valentine's Day, even if we just stay at home and watch movies. But I can cook something special and cute, or we can go out to a fancy restaurant :P
ReplyDeleteSounds nice!
DeleteI think it would be fun to make dinner and dessert together, since I enjoy cooking, and then he'd read a book aloud to me.
ReplyDeleteI could definitely go for dessert :)
DeleteAt the park with my family, riding bicycles~
ReplyDeleteI love the park :)
DeleteI'd like to order pizza and watch a good movie with my husband.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like my hubby's idea of a great Valentine's Day :)
DeleteSince I don't have a significant other, it would be sitting and reading a good book and having a peaceful night doing just what I want. Maybe a nice hot bubble bath!
ReplyDeleteA bubble bath and a great book sound heavenly!
DeleteI'm super-single, but I like to spend time with my kids, maybe get a special treat.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about baking cookies :)
DeleteMine would be just taking a bath and reading a book.
ReplyDeleteAfter this long day, I could really use a bubble bath!
DeleteGiving the kiddos a few fun VDay gifts is really the highlight for me. My husband and I will be bowling that night since we are on a league and it falls on that night. Other than that, I just like to hang out at the house. I would rather not deal with crowded restaurants and such.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree with the crowded restaurants. That's one of the last places I'd want to be.
DeleteSpending time at home with family.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm doing today
DeleteI'm single but I like when my son makes a nice dinner for us.
ReplyDeleteMy son likes to cook too... but he always makes a huge mess!
DeleteTo spend quality time with my kids and husband
ReplyDeleteWe played a board game tonight. No video games, no TV, but a real old-fashioned board game. It was fun :)
DeletePerfect Valentine's day would be to have someone special to spend it with :) I've never had anyone to spend any Valentine's Day with so to have someone would be the first thing lol
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have someone special to spend it with :)
