Ten Fun Facts about the Cry Wolf Series

This series has had so many interesting firsts for me, so here’s a breakdown of some of the known and not so known fun facts from the Cry Wolf series.

1. These books were the first time I’ve marketed as New Adult (Paranormal Romance) even though I’ve had other New Adult books published that are marketed as normal adult paranormal romances.
2. This series was the first time I’ve written something with the intention to self-publish. I’m very happy with that decision because the freedom of it has revitalized my love for writing and vastly improved my career.
3. This is the first series where I’ve written werewolves as the bad guys (at least a couple of them were).
4. I’ve done a lot more overall research for these books than I have with almost any other that I’ve written (potions, salves, the Army, wolves, etc.).
5. The Witch Who Cried Wolf was the first book I’ve written non-linearly (aka I skipped around at times).
6. I’ve had so many fun “coincidences” with these books where my subconscious knew better than my conscious mind during plotting, writing, etc.
7. I’ve put more time upfront in planning these books than I have with others that I’ve written, and it didn’t take away the excitement from writing them!
8. My ideas for the books usually come at me two books ahead, so I’m always a little ahead of the curve. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get surprised too!
9. I enjoy the large cast of characters. They’re all so interesting and fun in their own ways.
10. This was the first time I’ve written in first person for publication. I loved the alternating points of view since it allowed me to be in both the hero’s and heroine’s heads.
